ACT Public Library
Explore the services and events available at your local public library, including regular children's storytimes and holiday activities. A new branch is now open in Kingston. Membership is open to anyone who lives, works or studies in the ACT region.
ACT Writers Centre
A non-profit association dedicated to serving readers and writers in the ACT and region. Offers a broad range of workshops and events, and a members library.
The COOL Awards (Canberra's Own Outstanding List)
The annual children's choice book awards, as voted for by young people of the Canberra region.
DET Centre for Teaching and Learning (Stirling, ACT)
Library/teaching resources centre is open to ACT teachers, registered home educators and student teachers currently undertaking teaching pracs.
Lu Rees Archives of Australian Children's Literature
Visit the CBCA's own research collection of Australian children's literature, housed in the University of Canberra Library. The Lu Rees Archives contain an outstanding collection of Australian children's books (including translations), original artworks, author papers, and other treasures.
National Library of Australia
The National Library collects all books published in Australia, and has a large range of online subscription resources available onsite. See their events page for upcoming author talks. Free wifi is available.
